Healers, Therapists, Practitioners and Other Holistic Types...

You are following this path because you want to help people.

You've uncovered a gift - a talent for relieving the suffering of your fellow humans; for bringing a sense of peace and joy to people; for helping folks uncover their own gifts and purpose for living.

This is holy work, and a great honor. For many, it's a high calling.

Many of you drawn to this path are creative, intuitive types ... strong on caring and compassion and insight and giving.

But in the areas of business management, setting up plans and systems, self-care .. marketing ... well, these aspects of your practice seem to get overlooked.

Healing work is transcendent ... lifting us above the corporate rat race to offer deeply meaningful livelihoods.  Yet, you're still a human, subject to the laws of gravity. If you want your holistic practice to support you, you have to learn how to navigate the heavy and earthly details.

We learn a little about business practices and self-care (two sides of the same coin) in our training programs, but not so much about dealing with the mundane details, the discouragement and potential for depletion.

I'm Gina Loree Marks, and a shiatsu practitioner of seven years. See? I understand the challenges of discouragement, isolation, erratic cash flow and stamina. I also have learned the necessity of having a community to lean into when things get tough... of having someone to turn to with questions who understands what I'm dealing with.

What I offer here is my blog, and a host of resources that I have used myself and found to be immensely helpful. As this site grows, I will also be offering my own courses to help you become an energetic and prosperous practitioner, as well as a forum to share your stories and meet others.

Here you will find (if not now, then, soon to come!):

  • Help with developing a holistic business plan
  • Self-care support your body (and mind and soul) so you have more to give your clients without depletion
  • Suggestions for setting boundaries
  •  Support with isolation and unique client issues
  • Resources to market yourself effectively and with integrity
  • Ideas for cultivating a dynamic relationship with your client base
  • Help with getting clarity around your goals and intentions
  • Encouragement for when business gets slow and confidence flags
